Empower Wellness: Mindfulness, Nutrition & Self Love

Meet our guest speakers...

Kim Morrison, Twenty 8

There is so much more to Kim Morrison than meets the eye. Tenacity is probably the first word that comes to mind.  Her journey and all she has accomplished to date has all stemmed from her unwavering self-belief and her deep understanding that you must also take care of yourself first and foremost.

Kim set a world record as the youngest female to run 100miles in less than 24 hours in 1989. 68 year old world record holder Cliff Young was her mentor at the time and to this day lives by his ethos that success is 90% mental and 10% physical. She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life – riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up!

Kim believes it is your inner power, passion and commitment and having truckloads of self-belief that distinguishes you as an achiever. It’s about visualising your dream and going for it - regardless of the feedback you receive or the challenges you face. As a 5 times best-selling author, creative director of Twenty8, aromatherapist, health and lifestyle educator, mentor, NLP Practitioner, hypnotherapist and a multi-tasking mum and wife, Kim is someone who shares her essential tools for self-care, discipline, leadership and teamwork and most of all the importance of the art of self love.

Dr Maddy White, Conscious Chiro

Dr. Maddy grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of Warrnambool, Victoria. As the youngest of six children, her childhood was spent mostly outdoors or attending one sports carnival after another. At the age of 10, she fell in love with basketball and began chasing her dream of representing Australia in the green and gold. In 2012, that dream came true, along with earning a scholarship to a Division 1 university in the United States.

However, three months later, she experienced a major car accident that resulted in multiple fractures to her upper back, sternum, and ribs, along with an immediate lower neck spinal fusion surgery. This was a significant physical and mental setback but became the catalyst for her career, propelling her into the field of holistic healing.

Six months after her accident, she played her first basketball game in the United States, with chiropractic care playing a pivotal role in her recovery. Her curiosity about nervous system regulation grew rapidly, and upon returning to Australia, she eagerly pursued a chiropractic degree at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Victoria.

After completing her studies, Dr. Maddy became certified as a meditation, breathwork, and yoga instructor, and she began holding space in Geelong’s ice therapy community. In 2022, she ventured up the east coast in search of warmer weather and a growing conscious community. This journey led her to the Sunshine Coast, where she founded The Conscious Chiropractor.
