The theme of the morning is 'women of purpose', as we celebrate the incredible women who are making a difference in our community and beyond. Lisa is a fantastic example of a woman of purpose, with her wealth of experience and passion for creating positive change, Lisa will share her insights into what it means to be a woman of purpose.
Lisa has been part of Wishlist for 23 years and leads the team that works tirelessly to fundraise for the needs of our local public health system. Wishlist is now one of the Coast’s leading charities directing more than $1 million each year to medical equipment and infrastructure upgrades, research, hospital accommodation, support services and health staff scholarships. All to make the hospital experience better for patients and their families.
Lisa’s career started in media and advertising and when Lisa first started as the fundraising coordinator in 2001, the charity was known as the Sunshine Coast Health Foundation and only employed two staff. Now Lisa leads a team of 21 staff, plus an army of wonderful volunteers.
As Chief Executive Officer, Lisa and her team have raised and directed over $22 million to enhance public health services on the Sunshine Coast and Gympie since Wishlist was established 26 years ago.
Their mission is to support the growing health needs of patients and families on the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and beyond.
