Coming up on Tuesday 10th May we have a beautiful breakfast planned at Surfair Beach Hotel, Marcoola.
This one is particularly close to our hearts, as we will be joined by, Emma Greenhatch, CEO of the Food Agribusiness Network (FAN), Director of Turbine Sunshine Coast and our current Outstanding Business Woman of the Year along with, Frances Cayley, our 2019 recipient and Project Director for Turbine Sunshine Coast.
Part of the morning will have you learning more about what Turbine Sunshine Coast is directly from Emma and Frances, who are heading up the project and what it means for our region. It’s an exciting time to see what this project will bring to the Sunshine Coast, with Turbine set to see a number of Australian Manufacturers work together to support over 50 small and medium enterprises as they collaborate, scale-up and become more competitive. Along with the potential indirect benefits to a variety of businesses and employment opportunities.
It was no small feat to obtain $33.4 million in grants funding and we will be taken through how it came about, insights to the process and what is involved to bring this investment to life that will be based out at the Sunshine Coast Airport.
The beauty of seeing this happen with Emma and Frances joining forces is that it's the ultimate in how collaboration can come about in our community. Only having met onstage at the handover of the SCBWN Outstanding Winner trophy, after the momentous speeches that Frances and then Emma delivered, it sparked a friendship, a respect that has now lead to where they are today with working on Turbine.
If you haven’t heard them speak onstage, you’re in for a real treat, they have some serious knowledge, experience and are dedicated to lifting our Sunshine Coast business community and seeing people being celebrated and grow in this beautiful region.
Make sure to book your tickets asap and we look forward to seeing you next week!
