EOFY Breakfast - Take control of your money

Whether you’re looking to take a financial step up or you’re reaching for a lifeline, we are answering all your money questions with our expert finance guest speakers – Eliza Anders, Head of Small Business Banking for ANZ Queensland, and Peta Grenfell, Managing Director of the Bentleys Sunshine Coast office.

As we near the end of financial year, all businesses should take the opportunity to review their financial situation and take a close and realistic look at their current situation and future opportunities.

With our guest speakers highly experienced in business finances, from a banking as well as accounting and taxation perspective, you can get real insights into how you can improve and grow your financial position and take away some tips and templates to use in your business straight away.

What we’ll explore:

  • Improving your financial literacy – get excited about reading your financial statements by knowing what to look at, how to read it and how this can inform better decision making.
  • Preparing for a loan – finding the right balance for minimising tax but having enough proof to apply for a loan. Learn what the bank wants from you and what your accountant can do to make the application process smooth and fast.
  • How to get help when you feel like you’re drowning – you’re not alone and it’s not impossible to turn things around.
  • When to reach out – learn what your banker and your accountant can do for your business

Your hand-picked guest speakers

Money is a massive part of running a business, and although it may not be the main reason we each get out of bed and get excited for the work day, it is certainly what makes the cogs turn and can be one of the most stressful elements if you’re not certain on where from and when it’s coming and then where it’s going.

We chose these two guest speakers for our end of financial year money-focussed breakfast so that you can hear from two key sectors of the finance space – the bank and the accountant.  Additionally, we chose these two women specifically as they are so passionate about teaching business women to take control of their money with confidence and are incredibly experienced and insightful. Here is a snapshot of their background, and you will learn and appreciate even more about them at our upcoming breakfast.
