The first of its kind, the Executive Education Series created by the SCBWN and USC Business School brings you an intensive, hands on, relevant business course recognised by tertiary education with RPL credit towards an MBA*.
With a focus on leadership and contemporary business management, the course will run over 2.5 days in early April.
For SCBWN members there will be three 2-hour follow-up sessions to cement the concepts and knowledge provided during the course, and to support those members who wish to complete the managerial project assessment.
Facilitated by Rod Wakefield, Founder and Managing Director of Purpose Driven Consulting, the short course has been specifically developed to meet the identified professional development needs of the SCBWN membership and will be further tailored to the specific goals of each participant via a one-on-one meeting with the facilitator prior to the commencement of the intensive course.
Under Rod's guidance participants will develop skills and knowledge to assess their business status through signposting and build a dynamic business plan using the Purpose Driven Five Building Blocks.
Limited to 20 participants, registration essential.
The Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance Business Mentoring Program was developed in September 2018 after the success of the Noosa Mentoring Group, which has been in progress now for the last seven years and has collaborated with and helped over 300 mentees to further develop and expand their businesses.
So why would a business owner want to get involved with the Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance Business Mentoring Program? Our group of mentors have a wealth of business experience as they are semi retired or retired business owners who want to impart their skills, knowledge and experience to business owners to help them grow. Our mentors have such a diverse range of expertise ranging from IT to accounting.
The mentors volunteer their time to assist businesses to reflect on current business operations and provide different strategies for the mentee to decide their future growth. It is always helpful to have someone to discuss strategies with and to give guidance. Who better to do this with than someone who is a local, knows your market area and has a wealth of experience in the business world.
Through the utilization of mentors within the Sunshine Coast region businesses will expand, create more jobs and therefore create greater employment opportunities within the region. This in turn develops a more buoyant economy.
We are a passionate team of business mentors working as volunteers and committed to developing future business growth in the Sunshine Coast region. Become a mentee now – all you need is a valid ABN and be a current financial member of SCBWN. Cost is $200 for 12 months of mentoring to those approved.
