As we round out another incredible year, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride for the journey we've shared. Our members and network have flourished, thanks to the unwavering support and involvement of our members, executive committee, sponsors and the broader community. Together, we have brought our purpose to life in ways that continue to inspire and uplift.
I am continually encouraged by the bold decisions many of you have made this year. Some have taken the leap to pursue new roles and careers, driven by self-belief and a deep connection to their personal purpose. It takes immense courage to say, "I’m going to write my story, my way". Your journeys are inspiring for all of us.
Equally, I want to celebrate those who have chosen to stay in their current roles or industries, finding power in redefining and excelling in their positions. There is great strength in recognizing the value of where you are and making a significant impact within that space. Each strand of our network is a carefully crafted piece of the puzzle, contributing to the beautiful tapestry of our collective success.
On a personal note, serving as the president of this incredible network has been a journey of joy and learning. I have been privileged to learn from each of you and to work alongside an extraordinary committee -together, we have embarked on a strategic journey of progress, empowerment, and bold choices, always striving to do things respectfully different.
How lovely to share in the magic of gift-giving and the impact it can have, especially as we approach the festive season. Our Christmas breakfast was a beautiful opportunity to share joy and generosity with many who we will likely never meet. Our members' contributions to Laurel Place via our Giving Tree were heartwarming and I am proud we were able to support again this year. Rochelle Courtenay, the CEO and founder of Share the Dignity shared her journey from an idea in 2015 to the national organisation that has now provided over 5 million feminine products to women across the country. Her words resonated deeply, reminding us of the impact we can make when we come together for a common cause.
Each of you has brough something special to our network, making it a vibrant and supportive community. As we move into the festive season, I encourage you to take time to rest and spend quality moments with your loved ones. Rest that beautiful mind of yours, and start planning for 2025 to be the biggest and brightest year yet—whatever that looks like for you.
I am excited to come back refreshed and focused in the new year. Let's embrace the future with optimism and determination, knowing that together, we can achieve remarkable things.
With gratitude,
Paula
